About Amanda - Destination Wedding Planner

Amanda Watson has over a decade of experience as a fine art photographer in the wedding industry. After her own wedding in 2007, she knew she wanted to become a destination wedding planner but as the saying goes "do what you know", she started in photography and has photographed hundreds of weddings since across the globe. During her years of documenting couples love stories, the need to design always persisted and she began designing & executing styled shoots and events for herself as well as other photographers, brides and industry events in many destinations.

"I just so happen to love the planning and styling side as much as the photography side but I noticed many other creatives aren't quite the same. I had a number of photographers reach out to ask questions and learn more and it started the journey to host workshops and help others learn how to juggle all the things."

Amanda has since hosted several Amanda Watson Workshops and helped numerous photographers to build their skills and portfolio. Her passion for mentoring in a very hands-on way has grown and evolved into helping brides with their wedding days.

"I love to see a design go from concept to fruition. Working with brides and other industry professionals to create an aesthetically pleasing and meaningful event is something that brings me great joy and I take pride in giving attention to even the smallest of details to wow clients and guests alike."

So Amanda started Amanda Watson Designs, a luxury destination wedding planning company. Amanda Watson Designs is a unique experience for the opulent bride!

"I've been in business now for about 8 years, but with being a new mom my time has been really pulled between learning life with a little one and serving my clients. I didn't have time to dedicate to coordinate pulling together all the vendors and items for a styled shoot that inspired me.
